European EENA / Waze emergency response programme kicks off in Milan

19 June 2017 – The EENA/Waze pilot test programme officially launches today in Milan, Italy, in a 2-day kick-off meeting where the coordinators and the pilot sites will discuss the way forward.

  • AREU, 112 service and emergency medical service, Italy
  • SDIS 13, fire brigade, France
  • SDIS 86, fire brigade, France

About the programme

EENA (the European Emergency Number Association) and Waze (the world's largest community-based traffic and navigation app) entered into a partnership to understand and evaluate the use of Waze in emergency response scenarios.
