EENA’s membership and expertise have been growing continuously, both in Europe and the rest of the world. As a result, EENA has become the reference point for emergency technical and operational call-handling discussions, including the European emergency number 112.

A Forum on public safety was held today in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), organised by Telekom Malaysia and supported by EENA. The event gathered interested stakeholders, such as Ministry representatives and public safety professionals from Malaysia, Laos and Cambodia, to discuss the way forward for emergency response processes. Topics included education on 112, drones for emergencies, eCall, 112 accessibility, Next Generation 112, and much more… Participants discussed and debated related issues during three different panels focusing on: Education of people; Handling emergency calls; and Europe, 112 and the sharing experience of ASEAN countries.

EENA wants to warmly thank Telekom Malaysia for this excellent event, as well as all participants for their valuable contributions. We are looking forward to similar future actions and continued cooperation and collaboration between the ASEAN countries and EENA.
