Norwegian Civilian Mobile Danger Alert System Goes Live

Norwegian communications regulator Nkom said that national mobile phone danger warning system went live on 14 February.

A demonstration of Nodvarsel at the police directorate presented the system’s audio alarm and text messaging. Nine out of ten handsets will be able to receive an emergency alert if a serious incident occurs, and this number will increase when older mobile phones are phased out.
