Galileo Emergency Warning Satellite Service (Galileo EWSS):  Updates from the STELLAR Project: January 29th, 2024 at 14h30 CET

The Galileo Emergency Warning Satellite Service (EWSS) is a new service that would utilize Galileo, the global satellite navigation system of the European Union. This service would exploit the advantage of the Galileo infrastructure to equip civil protection authorities with a means of broadcasting an alert message to the population in the case of a looming disaster.

Since June of 2023, the STELLAR project has carried out demonstrations of Galileo Emergency Warning Satellite Service, with the support and participation of national civil protection authorities from several EU Member States.

This webinar will provide an overview of the service, how it works, and will share results from the three demonstrations that have taken place in 2023.

Join us for an informative webinar for civil protection authorities, public warning systems providers, researchers, and anyone interested in innovations in enhancing the reach of public warning messages.
