RESILIACT launches to advance impact-based disaster risk management

24 June 2026, Brussels

The Horizon Europe project RESILIACT (Cross-regional Action for Enhanced Impact Forecasting, Early Warning, and Resilient Governance) has officially launched, bringing together 27 partners from 11 countries to strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience.

Running from June 2026 to 2029, RESILIACT will develop an innovative digital platform that combines data from multiple sources to generate impact forecasts and support anticipatory action. Moving beyond traditional hazard-centred warnings, the project will help authorities understand the potential impacts of floods, storms, heatwaves, and other hazards on people, infrastructure, critical services, and communities.

The platform will provide decision-support tools for emergency services, civil protection authorities, municipalities, and policymakers, enabling timely and targeted actions before impacts escalate.

RESILIACT will be demonstrated in the Nordic capitals of Oslo, Reykjavík, Helsinki, Copenhagen, and Stockholm, and replicated in Brussels, Lisbon, the Attica region, Bratislava, Canvey Island, and Algiers.

As part of the project, EENA will support stakeholder engagement activities and contribute to the creation of the RESILIACT Forum.
